IN EXCELLENT ALL MATCHING CONDITION WE HAVE A LATE 1942 EARLY 1943 PRODUCTION LITHGOW MADE NO1. MKIII*  AUSTRALIAN ARMY ISSUED LEE ENFIELD .303 SERVICE RIFLE. THE ACTION IS DATED 1942 WHILE THE MATCHING STOCK IS 1943 DATED INDICATING THAT IT WAS MADE IN LATE 42 INTO EARLY 1943. THE BORE IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION.

THESE RIFLES WERE IMPORTED IN THE 1990’S AND SELDOM ARE SEEN ANY MORE AS THEY ARE ALL IN COLLECTIONS. THIS IS REALLY THE ONLY WAY TO GET A NICE DECENT AUSTRALIAN LEE ENFIELD.  RIFLES SUCH AS THIS WERE USED IN NORTH AFRICA AND ITALY AGAINST THE GERMANS AND THROUGHOUT ASIA AGAINST THE JAPANESE.  THESE ARE EXTREMELY TOUGH SOLID RIFLES AND CERTAINLY THE BEST MADE OF THE SMLE’S. TRULY ONE OF THE MOST DEPENDABLE RIFLES OF WW2.
