Description

In terms of German pistol collecting in general, this is a very important artifact and a very well known one at that.  This is an ultra rare German Kriegsmarine marked Mauser m1896/12 Broomhandle Pistol that is also with a Eagle M marked holster.  This is the actual example that is pictured on page 156 of Axis Pistols by Jan Still.  This is the best example known of the Navy issued reworked Broomhandle.  These guns are noted for several unusual features such as the pinned rear sight, the modified front sight and chopped barrel and the markings.  Having the very same pistol pictured in this book is a huge boon that cannot be understated, and adds substantially to the desirability of the piece.  This will be a must have item for a lot of serious advanced collectors.
