sold – MAGNIFICENT CIRCA 1901 MAUSER C96 LARGE RING “BROOMHANDLE” PISTOL WITH ORIGINAL MATCHING STOCK!!!

In 98% mint stunning magnificent condition, a real wonder to behold, we have a complete Matching Mauser 1896 Large Ring Broomhandle Pistol with the Original Factory numbered shoulder stock/holster.  The bore is mint and the pistol is all matching. The Pistol was manufactured sometime in 1900-1901 and very likely could have been a British private officer purchase for the Boer War.  You may recall that Churchill purchased one for this affair.  This is a very brilliant looking piece with almost all of the fire-blue still intact.  back at the turn of the 20th century, this was the most powerful and advanced handgun of it’s time; it was expensive and only a person of substantial means could ever hope to wield one of these weapons.  Today, over a 100 years later one can say that this piece has withstood the test of time, and is because of this even more stunning than the day it was first purchased.
