In 96% all matching original condition, and of course not an import, we have a fine example of a 1938 Soviet Tula Arsenal made 1895 Nagant Service Revolver. This revolver is 100% factory original, and the bore is mint. This is the famous old ” Russian Gas Seal Nagant Revolver” that we all have heard of with the 7 shot cylinder, the gun that made “Russian Roulette” Famous and ended the life of many a poor purge victim in the basement of the Lubyanka Prison during Stalin’s Terrors.
Probably the most ubiquitous non-American made Revolver in the 20th century, this storied revolver has been used in almost every war or conflict on the planet from 1895 at least through the Vietnam War. While imported reworks are commonly encountered true non import marked war bringbacks are not common and command a lot of collector attention. Inspite of the archaic design, these revolvers were being built as late as 1945 and certainly were rugged and dependable and that is certainly saying a lot.
