Description

In 95%% very sharp condition, we have a Matching Mauser 1896 Large Ring Broomhandle Pistol,  still with the matching numbered stock.  The bore is a little rough and the stock has some repairs as well. The Pistol was manufactured sometime in 1900 and very likely could have been a British private officer purchase for the Boer War.

You may recall that Churchill purchased one for this affair.  This is a very brilliant looking piece with  a lot of fire-blue still intact.  back at the turn of the 20th century, this was the most powerful and advanced handgun of it’s time; it was expensive and only a person of substantial means could ever hope to wield one of these weapons.  Today, over a 100 years later one can say that this piece has withstood the test of time and desirability.
