Description

In a very attractive 97% mint sharp condition, we have a very rare and NEVER SEEN THIS NICE, DWM made Dutch East Indies Colonial Army Officer Issued M11/m28 9mm Luger Pistol, that is MOST IMPORTANTLY fully rigged out with an extremely rare 1939 type 2 M11 Holster, with an even rarer Magazine pouch with the GS (Geweermakers School, Bandoeng) Marked Tool & Punch & cleaning rod, which are rarely ever encountered.  This is the most complete Dutch Luger rig that we have seen or handled; you just never ever see them in this complete state.

The pistol is all matching with a mint bore. One of the matching numbered grips is original to the pistol and the other matching grip is a very desirable GS made matching example with the famous course checkering, so you have a very nice contrast.  All Dutch East Indies Luger were reworked, most of them many times.  This premier example has only had one overhaul.  The unit marking on the back of the receiver was removed.  There is no brass plate unit marking on this pistol as it was an officer issued side arm.

Ther mag pouch is dated 1938 and the holster is dated 1939.  The holster is in mint condition, which you just never see due to the tropical climate.  The pistol is in exceptional condition for a Dutch East indies pistol, most were used by the Dutch, the Japanese who captured them and the Indonesians after they won their independence.  This pistol shows no evidence of any post war use and likely was a Japanese capture and GI bringback  War Trophy.

This is the only completely Dutch Colonial Luger rig that we have had in 35 years of operations.  It is a very important piece that we do not expect to have for long. Â
