Description

In 97% very crisp condition, this is a rarely seen Nazi Wartime production non-military proofed “Commercial”  FN High Power Pistol fully rigged out with a mint crisp non-military marked High power holster and spare magazine.  These pistols are described on page 332 of Vanderlinden’s Book on FN Pistols.  He estimates around 5% of war time production was not military marked; most were Eagle/N proofed but some few were just marked with the Test Eagle and the Triangular marking that is always found on the Nazi Commercial FN pistols.  This pistol is important because it is one of the few without the Eagle/N marking but of even more significance in my mind is that it is commercially rigged out and not in a military accepted holster.  Who the actual end users of these pistols has not been established; they may have been for wartime plant security or they may have been issued to Nazi Police/security apparatus or select Nazi personnel. To my knowledge this is the only complete commercial rig that I have seen. It came out of the woodwork in the late 1980’s and has been in one collection since that time.  Certainly a real prize for the serious FN collector.
