In very sharp condition, we have an early 1944 production Walther ac44 G.43 semi-automatic Service Rifle This is a very sharp all matching rifle with an excellent bore. These early G.43 variants look great and are highly sought after by collectors.
The G.43 was not the first effective Semi-Auto Rifle fielded by the Germans; that would be the SVT series of Soviet rifles captured in Barbarossa. The G.43 was the German updated and improved version of the Soviet rifle and it was much more robust and reliable weapon. They were in wide use with the German Infantry by 1944 and were well thought of by those who fielded them. Today these rifles are highly sought after by collectors and no serious WWII collection should be without at least one example.
