Description

While the 9mm Tariq Pistols do pop up from time to time, you just rarely ever see the 7.65mm (.32 auto) Variant.  This is a licensed copy of the Venerable Beretta Model 70 Pistol.  They were made at the Al Qadissaya Establishment which was located in Diyala Provence North of Baghdad.  Gold plated examples attributed to Saddam Hussein are known.  This is a “deluxe version” with very attractive walnut grips and it is believed to have been the sidearm of an Iraqi General.    This is a documented US Army Colonel bring back and photos and the written story go with it.

Legally brought back Middle East War Trophy firearms from this Late 20th century period are extremely rare as in most instances this was not allowed.  This is certainly the rarest of the Iraqi made Pistols and many people will wish to acquire it.  I will say I thought the workmanship to be well done, especially the grips which really look wonderful.
