Description

In 98% mint crisp condition we have one of the rarest and most desirable Pre-War Walther PP Pistols ever seen, straight out of the woodwork, a 1938 production Walther PP Pistol that is Property Marked to the Legendary Armaments firm of BSW, (Berlin-Suhler-Waffen und Fahrzeugwerke).  As you may know, BSW is well known to collectors as the Producer of the rarest and most desirable K98k Mauser, whose distinctive script logo is on the receiver of rifles made by this firm.  This pistol was property marked to the Plant Security department and was used to guard the plant during the WWII era.  Of all the known companies that marked their pistols this is absolutely the most desirable one to possess.

This pistol still retains the original bring-back paper and some of the personal memorabilia of Pvt John J. Bernacki of Ohio, who brought it back as his treasured war trophy.  some of his ribbons and medal were stuffed into a rare WWII era Band-aid can.  The pistol came out of the woodwork in Ohio recently.

The pistol is in in 98% mint crisp condition and is somewhat un-usual in the fact that it does not have a signal pin, which may have been to reduce the cost of the pistol.  This is an absolutely jaw-dropping artifact of  Waltherdom that will be a must have for both Walther and 98k collectors.
