Description

In 98% mint crisp nearly un-issued condition, we have a 1940 production Colt New Service Revolver in .45 Long Colt.  Per the Rush Colt Letter, this revolver was sent on Oct 3, 1940 to the Royal Canadian Navy Inspector of Naval Ordnance in Halifax Nova Scotia.  Halifax was the HQ of the Canadian Navy during WWII.   It is thought that these Revolvers were used to Arm the Escort Vessels used to fight the U Boat Menace during the Battle of the North Atlantic which raged for years.  This is nearly new example and a top collector grade piece.

This is a fantastic piece of Canadian WWII Naval History and just a wonderful Colt New Service Revolver that will appeal to many of our clients.
