In 95% very nice original condition, we have a fairly scarce early production British Royal Navy Issued 1913 Webley & Scott Self Loading .455 Mark I Service Pistol. This pistol comes with some very hard to find ammunition, an original British issued WWI packet of 7 rounds and 14 rounds of modern ammunition (please be advised you need to have this pistol & ammo checked out by a gunsmith before use). The pistol is all matching and the bore is excellent. These pistols although awkward looking by todays standards but they were very well made and had extremely tight tolerances, which lent itself to great accuracy.
This pistol was purchased by the very forward thinking Royal Navy in 1913, ostensibly for use by pilots of the Royal Navy Seaplanes that played an important role in the First World War. They were and still are one of the most interesting and the most collectable of the Webley Automatic pistols.
